ABOUT THE ARTIST CONNECTION

Each launch design was created by 2 LATINX mujeres, 

who are artists based in the South.

The inspiration came from wanting to simply create 

expression of pride through art, essentially. 

With collaboration comes a marriage of ideals and so these 2 

very special pieces were created. 

They each represent an act of maíz- showcasing nixtamal 

as a powerful and ancient practice practiced through yes,

the act of it as well as through the connection of identity and 

its resulted feeling and portrayal of ancestral freedom.

born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and based in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“illegality,” family history, queerness, diaspora, and self-identity

a LATINX/Mayan diaspora artist (she/her) 

born in El Salvador and based in Atlanta, GA.

Her art portrays her Latin roots, Latin culture and today’s world
